Nature conservation
The establishment of conservation areas is one possibility to protect and conserve the biological diversity of the Alps. Pfeiffermühle is located amidst a formal landscape protection area (“Landschaftsschutzgebiet”) designed for the conservation and development of nature, for the reduction of detrimental impacts on the ecosystems and for the restoration of its natural processes. On the other hand, the use of protected species is restricted and an infringement such as picking of protected flowers can be severely punished.
Many protected plant species shouldn’t be picked. If done nonetheless, be prepared to be fined!
